Cuenca, Ecuador

Yes, that's right, I've moved out of the U.S.! I got here in Ecuador very late Wednesday, and so far I like it! Snapped some shots along a 3 hour walk through El Centro with Dad and Nick. Some of these are with my iPod camera, but most were taken with my Canon point & shoot.

The rooftop view from our apartment building.

The old architecture around here is amazing.

That building peeking above the trees is a cathedral.

The park across from the cathedral. Apparently you can pay to have your photo taken sitting on one of these stuffed ponies.

Cathedral
Inside the cathedral. I didn't want to take too many photos, they were having a service.
Pretty stained glass windows in the church.

We ate lunch at Inca, a restaurant/bar.

They're working on making a riverwalk which goes right by Inca.

Home is that way...Somewhere. Still don't know my way around!

  1. Those stuffed ponies are kinda awkward and awesome all at the same time, I'm not gonna lie, I would probably totally pay to have my picture on one though :) Xo Lori

    1. I know, right? I probably would have done the same, if I wouldn't look like the crazy gringo among all the locals! I would get some very weird stares!

Thanks so much for commenting, by the way. Made my day!

    1. My dad, step-mom, and youngest brother moved down here last summer to retire, and they offered for me to join them if I wanted to. Atlanta wasn't really my thing, so I jumped at the opportunity to travel to a country I've never been to. It's more laid back here than the big city, and so far I really like it! The travel bug in me has been satiated for now :]
