first two rolls of film: Spring 2011

I finally got a couple of rolls of 35mm film developed (and still have 4 left to do). They were mostly photos from a trip I took last April with my Aunt Michelle and cousins Mikayla and Nikolas to the NASA Space Center in Houston. The three of them came down from Colorado Springs for spring break 2011. It was nice hanging out with my little cousins, I don't get to see them that often.

The last few photos are 1) the birds favorite bush in my grandparents' backyard; 2) my grandma pulling a silly face; 3) my cousin Nikolas playing at the park near our grandparents' house.

too much time on my hands

Sometime in the past few years, I became obsessed with painting my nails. I have a ridiculous amount of polish in an overflowing shoe box, some of which I should probably get rid of. One of the handful of fashion-type blogs I read, Refinery 29, recently featured the ombre nail trend; I decided to try it out. In hindsight, if I'd chosen a bit of a darker color to start with (second finger color), it would have come out better. Perhaps next time. /being girly.

more of january

The first few photos are from the beginning of the month when I went with my sister down to Warner Robins to house sit for a couple of days. That's Annie and Ed in their backyard, and of course, Capri exploring about. Also, I apparently have a fascination with taking photos of where I'm standing.

beginning of january

I haven't done a whole lot so far this year besides read, watch TV/movies, and work. It's that time of year where work is extra slow, though I was happy I got to bundle up against the cold for once (there were even light flurries of snow!).

year in review: fall

I finally saw the final Harry Potter movie, but I didn't take as many photos as I wanted to the rest of the year as I found myself leaving my camera at home more often than not. I just may have too many photos of Capri running around, though.

year in review: a july adventure

The end of July found Christina and I taking Capri on an afternoon wander through a mountain preserve, where it was quite hot and sunny, and we had fun almost getting lost in the end.

year in review: july

July was: a short trip to Washington DC; Dad, Susan, and Nick moving to Ecuador; first few weeks in the new apartment.

year in review: june

June was: seeing Decatur; dog walks around the neighborhood; rain storms; a garage sale; packing up and moving house.
