i swear i didn't forget
Yet again, it's been a long while since I've updated. To be fair, I haven't had a camera at all in a few months, as my iPod was stolen, but I have another camera and plan to take as many photos of Cuenca as I can in the next month because.... I'm moving! Yep, I've been here nearly three years, and I think it's time to go somewhere new. I'm heading to Asheville, North Carolina, where my dad, step-mom, and youngest brother live. My sister, bro-in-law, and niece (who just turned one!) live not too far from there, so I'll be able to see them often; my best friend Val and her family are moving to Augusta, GA soon, so they won't be very far away, either; my brother and his girlfriend live in Savannah, which is visit-able; and my boyfriend lives a few hours from there in Lexington, KY - so basically Asheville is the perfect home base! I'm really excited to move on from here, though I will miss it and the people I've gotten to know and be friends with.
Anyway, here's a few shots I've taken lately, hoping to get in many more soon.

how is it already april 2014?
I say it every year, but this is the year for change.
I started a great full-time job in the middle of December, as a receptionist at a dentist's office. Everyone is super nice, the job isn't difficult, and I think my Spanish is slowly getting better. I just need to use it more.
I find myself meeting new people, making new friends. I still go every week for lunch with the knitters group, and we get new faces once in awhile. A couple recently that are even closer to my age than usual. The people I work with are, I think, becoming friends - I actually went out one night with Marie Jose, who's very bubbly and fun to talk to. A couple months back, I randomly met a really sweet guy from Holland, on the bus. I'm quite glad he started up a conversation, as he's quickly become a pretty good friend.
And of course, for my birthday last month, I chopped my hair the shortest it's been in a very long time. I like it, especially keeping it red. It's already grown out some, my hair seems to grow really fast, but I'll chop it again in May, I think. So, here's hoping the coming months bring more new, fun adventures.

a year has gone by already?
Ok, so it's been a year since I've touched this blog. What a shame!
The plan is to start posting again soon - I have neglected taking photos for awhile, and my writing needs some work.
Here's hoping I stick with it this time.
